Concert photos: October 2013 - Jana Legler

The month of October brought some great musicians to Berlin, all of whom had their own special rules for us concert photographers! So I only got Goldfrapp from the back of the room, Fat Freddy’s Drop for the first 12 minutes (which was fair enough, just a bit nerve-wracking waiting for someone to come and kick you out of the photo pit any second now), Foals just for the LAST two songs and Pixies for the first two. Ed Kowalczyk was especially tricky, because there was practically no stage light. So to take pictures of Midlake was pure joy. Not only could I shoot the whole set through, but they also played a magnificent show. A great experience was seeing the mother of all indie bands – who would have thought that the fabulous Pixies would be back one day?
